This is a musical deep dive into the life of Cole Porter called "Down in the Depths", named after the song from Red, Hot & Blue (Track 5). It was performed as a live cabaret in 2023 and each track on the album contains some of the biographical information I shared with the audience during the performance.

In his lifetime Cole Porter wrote close to 1000 songs (that we know about). He wrote the songs for no less than 30 Broadway shows and many films as well. The songs I’ve chosen to share with you today make me feel more connected to Cole, his gilded life, the deep emotional longing and physical pain that trademarked his writing, and the American history he lived through. I believe these are the songs that tell his story.
